ballast problem Nano 12 gallon, SOS

hello everyone!
i am back from being in europe for 3 months, I will later share some pictures to share with you.
i had a friend taking care of my new tank (8month old tank now), so I have some creative work to develope on my tank.
unfortunately when we transported my tank back to my apt, by accident I connected one of the wires of the ballast incorrectly. after half an hour i felt the smell of burned wire and I saw "smoke" just a little, coming from the ballast I inmediately desconnected it and checked everything and I discovered that I connected the wire incorrectly.
So now my moonlight is burned I think because I can't turn it on, but the other lights are doing well. I don't see the fans working either.
Has any of you an idea, of what to do, before buying a new ballast?, shall I try to just change the lights?
can anybody help with information?
Thank you

Honestly, I would toss the lighting unit and get a new one. The issue is not what will work, but fire safety. You don't know what's been compromised, and it's not worth the risk.

But then again, I've lost everything in a fire before, so I'm a little on the conservative side concerning such things.

Yes, or contact JBJ about a replacement lighting unit maybe?

Look on the bright side... now you have that quarantine tank!

Re: ballast problem Nano 12 gallon, SOS

Thank you guys for all the info, I will contact JBJ, but if it is complicated, I think I am better of buying the 24g =], great reason to upgrade. it is only 185 at the nanocustoms.com, a new ballast and lights is about what $75 and hope that there is no additional damage! So I will keep you posted
