Nitrate (NO3) reduction is directly proportional to percentage of Water Change.
Allen's home-made formula...(-NO3=WC%)
This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%.

Ask me about how to increase your REEF budget without going without FOOD!!

Thank you very much! I am happy with it finally! Except for a couple of stray colorful polyps I'll keep my eyes open for! I got some beautiful Ricordia from flricordia last week, and they filled a couple of the holes that needed something in them!

They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Re: A picture of my eight gallon nano! :)

So tell us more about your tank.

How old?
When can you come set up my tanks?

What type of light?
When can you come set up my tanks?

what mods have you made?
When can you come set up my tanks?

What salt do you use?

When can you come set up my tanks?

When can you come set up my tanks?
(These comments are more of a whisper... subliminal messages..... )

Great tank seriously....
When can you come set up my tanks?

Re: A picture of my eight gallon nano! :)

Awwwwww, shucks, Thanks everybody! I have a six line wrasse, one red mithrax crab, several small brittle stars, a turbo snail, a couple of tiny blue legged hermits, some tiny stars, and some tiny snails, lol! The only modification I've done to the tank, is to change the lid, by putting in one I made with plastic, with holes in it, and a small fan that is velcroed to the lid, that sucks more heat out of the tank! It stays around 80 that way! I have kept the bio balls in, but I flush them once a week, and also the filter has been changed with my own media! I have two layers of filter, and one of carbon that I use together! I do a 20 percent water change once a week, and add liquid calcium, and Vitamin C. Everything seems to be doing ok in there! I've taken all my corals off the plugs, and found them a natural looking place to sit, and super glued them in. I have made some tools, to reach in areas that I can't get to. A plastic ruler with a scrubbing pad glued to the end, cleans the glass, and a turkey baster gets into corners too! If I was close, I'd love to help you with setting up your tank, BigAl07! I've had seven years experience with the 75 gallon I have to sell, to remodel our living room! That is why I've put all I've got, into this little one!
