Protein Skimmer on a 24 gallon nano cube?

Hi I wanted to know if a protein skimmer is recommended in my 24 gallon nano cube which has 25 pounds of live rock and I also do 1 gallon water change every week.

Well, each tank is different.
I always recommend a good skimmer but there are things you can do to minimize the need. A low bio-load and frequent water changes can help keep things on track.
With that said, I have an Aqua C Remora HOB skimmer on my 20g tank.

With the enclosed hood of the nanocube there is only one skimmer that will work, check out Nanocustoms.com - nanocustoms and they sell a Saphhire Skimmer that will fit.

That said I don't think it's needed, weekly waterchanges is usually enough.

Thanks for the replies people I think I will stay away from the protein skimmer because I will be doing 1 gallon water change every week.

Just keep an eye on your parameters. One gallon may not be enough depending on your stocking and feeding habits.

Thanks for replying I will keep a eye on that and if I do get some extra money I will probably buy the protein skimmer.
