| The Wand Geek was here. ;) ![]() | Re: Should I buy corals, invertabrates and fishes from a ich infested tank? Only if you plan on QT'ing them (with no fish present) for 6-8 weeks. Otherwise, NO. Just a drop of water from a diseased tank can infest another.

| Sunshine Reefer ![]() | Re: Should I buy corals, invertabrates and fishes from a ich infested tank? I second that opinion. If you have never had ich in your tank you certainly do not want to introduce it on purpose. If you are going to properly QT and treat the new fish that is one story but if not, I wouldn't take it.

| Sunshine Reefer ![]() | Re: Should I buy corals, invertabrates and fishes from a ich infested tank? QT for 6-8 weeks. They could be carrying the parasite. Anything from that tank has the parasite in some stage. If you QT without fish for 6-8 weeks you will be ok. Put any fish in there and you have to treat and wait another 6-8 weeks.

| Sunshine Reefer ![]() | Re: Should I buy corals, invertabrates and fishes from a ich infested tank? If you are just setting up the tank then you should be using a qt for your new fish anyway. Also you don't want to add anything while the tank is cycling.
