Just got a new oceanic bio cube 29 gal

Hi I just got a 29 gallon oceanic bio cube, just set it up yesterday and I added really fine sand about 2" inches thick but the sand is very fine where it kind of blows away a little bit I had to turn off my hydor koralia power head, any suggestions did I make a right choice in putting really fine sand in the nano cube, any tips about nano cubes would be great this is my first one, thanks?

Congrats on your new cube! Those make great reefs!
The sand will eventually settle down and not blow away as easily. With the goal that most of us have of keeping the water flow high you could try putting larger diameter sand/rubble at the spot the flow blows the sand.

You may have to point the ph at the surface of the tank.

Welcome to RS and the world of reefing.
Once you get your LR in the tank the flow will start bouncing off of that and not blow the sand as much.

Also, you'll find that as bacteria begin to thrive in your substrate, the sand will settle down. It's because the bacteria will develop in a film over the sand grains and it kind of holds things together a little better.
