| Tubeworm | 29g Biocube Refugium Ideas Okay everyone, i have had this tank for almost a year and i finally made it the forums to do some research. I am realizing that the bio balls are probably what is causing my high nitrates. The stock filter is crappy and the stock sponges are useless. So with my skillz in paint i have constructed what i think will be a pretty good mini refugium in the 3 chambers....Please let me know what you guys think....Pros/Cons or suggestions!!! Thanks 1) i am going to moddify the stock filter per New to hobby - help me get my tank clean! - Nano-Reef.com Forums Then looking to setup like this: ![]() |

| Midas Blenny | Re: 29g Biocube Refugium Ideas I also have a nano/pico/??? 8 gal Biocube, and I have slowly removed my bioballs and replaced with polyfilter (same material used in dialysis machines!) also added calcium/ion exchange media from Drs F and S online, has made a great difference, also they now make a PS for your size tank, althought too big for mine ![]()
