Re: New to Nano

Thanks fhj. Yeah, I wanted to leave some holes for some corals to grow out of. Just not sure what to put in them yet. Maybe a bubble or trumpet. I think I'm done buying sps for now. Think I'll just let the ones I have grow. Djbacon, a few post back it shows how I anchored the rocks. I used thin plastic rods and drilled holes in the liverock. Btw, nice work on your 14G, you got some nice coralline growth. I had some but when I rearranged my rocks all the coralline died Guess I'll have to wait another few months to get some back.

Thanks for the comments, always appreciated

Re: New to Nano

OK now I get it. You see I was trying to figure out how in the world you could use eggcrate over the tank and still get light through.

You see I am in the medical field and eggcrate to me is blue and foam absolutely not what you guys are talking about

gotta love the english language. glad I saw this thread

now where do you get YOUR eggcrate? my kind you can get at Walmart etc
there are no LFS within 150 miles of me, can I order it. Although I like your look better, don't know if I am that capable.

Thanks

Re: New to Nano

it has been a while. reefsurf, the mh i am using is Coralife 24 Inch Aqualight Pro, 1x250W HQI Lamp + 2x65W CF Lamps Sq. Pin + 2x1W LED. The skimmer I am using is the Tunze Nano DOC Protein Skimmer 9002. As for the dimensions of the back of the tank, I am not sure. I cut out the back to make more room and put in an overflow box. Here is a pic of the back to give you an idea of the size.

Here is a pic of the back cut out.
