Yikes! And to think that I was preparing the new reef so that I could take a couple of mini-vacations this summer... maybe that's not such a good idea.

Sorry to hear about the mishap.

If I were you, I'd take out the switch for the outlet. Tape may work in the short term, but there'll probably some other time that it gets flipped again (like when you're half-asleep in the dark).
As far as electrical goes, this is probably about as simple of a task you can do...
1. Find the breaker for that circuit, and turn off the circuit.
2. Remove the cover for the switch, and then the screws holding the switch to the wall.
3. remove the 2 black wires that connect to the switch by loosening the screws.
4. wrap the 2 ends of the wires together, and screw on a wire nut (probably a yellow one).
5. Put a 'blank' cover over the old switchbox.
6. Turn the breaker back on (I know the 'duh' factor is high on this one... ).

Voila... no more need to worry about the switch!
Plus, it's really easy to switch back out when (or if ) you ever move out.

HTH.

Ok, so as of this morning All the fish are alive and well.

None of the mushrooms and most of teh Rics look pretty P'ed off still. One frogspawn seems to be coming back out more and more each day, but the other still looks pretty bad.

My only really bad thing still is that my SPS frags have completly bleached. I can still see the polyps, but they are completely white.
Has anyone seen a coral recover from this in their tanks?

Yes Corals can recover from those symptoms, just provide optimal water quality.

I've had 3 different corals (frogspawn, hammer, and hairy green mushroom) recover from bleaching - it takes a month or two. I didn't do anything special- just kept up the water quality. good luck.

I had a small frag of orange monti fall behind the rockwork. I didn't notice it for quite a while. When I found it, it was pure white. I put it under an overhang (shaded light) for a week or so and then moved it into full light on the sand for a while. Now it is midway up the tank. It is not as orange as the other sps but very close. Like cazoo said, it is a slow process that takes a month or two.
