Red Slime

Hey i have a 14 bio cube and im starting to get alot of hair alge. im not sure y its gathering in my tank. What could make it grow in my tank. please help

dood u hav to tell them wat kind of hair algae. red slime is cyano.

Red slime (Cyano) is very different from hair algae however the removal process is really the same. Remove as much manually as you can. Reduce nutrients in the water (caused by overfeeding, adding phosphates (to reduce them rinse all food in RO/DI water and run a phosphate remving media like Phosban or Rowphos) Keep up with the water changes to reduce the nutrients. Depending on what corals you have, turning out the lights for several days can do wonders. Increasing your clean up crew can help as well.
