| Sunshine Reefer ![]() | Re: help choosing between and ap24 or bc29 I wouldn't get a "All in one system. Get a reef ready tank of whatever size you like and then add the equipment from there. Usually the filtration and lights on the build in units are not good enough for a reef envoronment.

| Social Darwinism victim | Re: help choosing between and ap24 or bc29 I agree with all above. I started with a 5g mini, moved to a 37 cube now it's a 75g (all ove the time frame of 6 months!). I wanted the room and diversity, it's COOL to have all this stuff in a big tank, and you can add this or that or change the lighting or skimmer or have a sump, not a sump, fuge or not, etc. Hubby likes the compactness and "challenge" of the littler tanks (think it's a control thing...) and there are add ons and mods out there but yeah, your choices are somewhat more limited (although some of the nanos people out there are REALLY ingenious). As far as looks, I like the aquapod line, that's just me. The 29 is more popular I think bec. it's just that much little bit bigger.
