Re: My 29 Bio Cube build thread

Ok, so I stopped by the LFS on the way home, Well, it wasnt really ON THE WAY, I had to go farther from home...but you know how it goes. Anyway, wasn't expecting the LFS to have anything at all being it was tuesday(norm thurs) low and behold they had 2 gorgeous Aurora(or Pinkbar) Gobies(Amblyeleotris aurora) bigger than my blenny I decided to give one a shot(I mean he is at least 3.5 inches.) he was marked at $31.99, but the owner knows me, and he knew about the unlucky watchman incident, $24.99!!
RIGHT ON! I Acclimated him to the DARK tank, and gave him a few hours brought the sun back up and fed everybody, gave the pig blenny a piece of seaweed for his troubles. And here is the Finished product! NO ISSUES SO FAR, KNOCK ON WOOD!

The neon goby has a new friend:

Now, The Aurora and the Pistol Shrimp need to "Find each other" I bareley see the pistol, as he has made a nice cave in the BACK of the tank..

Re: My 29 Bio Cube build thread

Well so far the goby has a hole right in the back of my tank.....in the middle....he does come out towards the front to eat, he does eat good. I hope him and the pistol shrimp get together. Im gonna try to get some pics of the pistol because he has been venturing away from his hole more and more everyday. See everybody on tuesday!

He's cute! I like your neon goby too. He's on my stocking list. Do you like him? I heard they are sometimes cleaners. Does yours "clean" your other fish?

Re: My 29 Bio Cube build thread

Melanie, its wierd my neon goby got really really sick when I first got him, bad bad ich, it recovered without treatment, but I was looking at him yesterday, and he looks a little thin, i feed them once a day, and seaweed 2-3/week, the blenny and shrimps are totally fine...but the little neon goby seems a little thin....

Re: My 29 Bio Cube build thread

My Neon Gobys (one in each of two tanks) both are thin but they were that way when I got them. Both seem to be eating well on anything I put into the tank including enriched Freeze Dried Brine Shrimp, Cyclopeeze and Nori. Even though I see them eat they still look "thinner" than I would like but their tummies aren't "distended" to indicate an problem. Both seem to be happy and healthy (had them maybe 6-8 weeks now).

Daniel it's looking GREAT! Keep up the pics!!

Re: My 29 Bio Cube build thread

Got some pics for eveybody!!!! Oh man, after spending my past few evenings trying to get a shot of my beautiful pistol shrimp, FINALLY got 2 good ones... Also picked up a couple more RICS, I have glued their base frags to my fav. piece of LR, gonna make it the "Ric-Roc" have room for 2 more colors, so that will be 6 different colors in total, and Im gonna start another as well, already have one on it.

The "RIC-ROC"(only showing the new rics..and only the bottom 2 are opened)

My Pistol Shrimp(NEED A PISTOL CLUB!!!!)

also. I am without my protein skimmer. I had purchased the Sapphire skimmer 2 weeks ago, has never worked properly, the pump has a problem with pulling water into the skimmer body. Sooooo, I sent it back to sapphire today, where they are gonna do the upgrade to the recirulating model(I just pay shipping). They just changed the regular model too, and the bossman says nobody else has a problem, we even brought my tank level to about 1-2 inches from the top in the back....so my tank is without that extra filter until sometime next week.
