Re: My 29 Bio Cube build thread

Aw bummer about the trumpet - I have a snail that wreaks hovaoc on some of my zoas like that too. I have gotten in the habit of glueing everything down now.

Re: My 29 Bio Cube build thread

Spectacular dude! Just went through the last 6 pages and enjoyed all the photos. I love those orange zoas, so intense.

I have major bull dozing problems in my tank - I've had to cement everything in place because of it. It looks like the trumpet will make a fine recovery.

Keep up the great work!

Drew

Re: My 29 Bio Cube build thread

I have the trumpet now in my 3g pico:

It didnt seem to enjoy its spot in the tank anymore with the new T5s, and there really wasnt anywhere else for him to go. It seems to like its new home.

Re: My 29 Bio Cube build thread

Do you have any issues with water quality in the 3gal? I'm so temped to setup a small tank due to how difficult it is to work with small frags in my large tank.

Re: My 29 Bio Cube build thread

I just did the second w/c on it since its been set up...Also just used my main w/c water for the setup, with 5lbs of LS and 3 lb piece of LR. Dude its soooo easy. just the w/c bi weekly, add water once a week, it has a top so there is HARDLY any evap. corals are doing just fine in there. You are limited as to what kinds of frags, but the lighting is especially good for "fresh frags" as a prep tank.

Allen's home-made formula...(-NO3=WC%)
This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%.
