Got a stylo frag from gsellers, and here is a good acclimation practice in pictures!!! Drip line slow acclimation, took about little more than an hour:

The new stylo frag, not looking real real good, but it should come around:

Allen's home-made formula...(-NO3=WC%)
This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%.

Ask me about how to increase your REEF budget without going without FOOD!!

Oh no!
That stinks.
The good news is your tank looks gorgeous.
Any idea what happened to the frag so quickly?

Re: My 29 Bio Cube build thread

Im at the office already, It will be way gone by the time I get home. i will take a picture to ease your minds anyway. Sorry AL, I had to put that line there, that was fantastic.

Lynn,
I dont know what happened. Acclimation went FLAWLESSLY, from when I picked it up to my tank, there was absolutely no temp swing, I have no idea. Im pretty bummed, figures, the first sps i try(and one of the easiest) doesnt make it 12 hours.

Re: My 29 Bio Cube build thread

SPS can be "touchy" but honestly it doesn't sound like anything went "Bad" that would have caused this. Hey if mine makes it (and thrives) I'll frag it in the future and send you a frag. Don't sweat it bro!!

I can't believe I've been "Quoted" in a signature!

My bird's nest did the exact same thing with 2 days of going in my tank. It still has not recovered 100% and it's over 2 weeks now.

Re: My 29 Bio Cube build thread

Hey thanks Djbacon. So far the T5s are looking good. I have notice on my green buttons that they are looking even better than they normally do, the ricordias are calming down a little. We will see over the next couple of weeks!! Starting to make some room for more corals, gonna try to find only A.C. corals.

Re: My 29 Bio Cube build thread

Thats right - I remeber you had an issue with your rics, "Cupping" - mine used to do that too when the lights went off (still do once in a while) but yours are looking great now. Seems like eventually as they expand out they start to settle down and begin to split.

Your red micros are looking great too - strong work

Ahhh finally some HARDCORE PICS! Hah, not that hardcore, c'mon guys!
A full actinic and day shot:

Everybody's Favorite, Ring of Fire zoas:

The big bad, now turning bluish green Bubble shroom:

The Yellow Polyp garden:

And I picked up a new frag, I think I may have gotten my hands on another color of "micro" zoas, like my red zoas. Barely open yet, but here they are:
