MY FIRST Aquarium 29gal Biocube

Its been running for about 5 weeks now and im just getting rid of a massive red slime outbreak which is the reason for the clowdiness. I got the red slime from adding a peice of LR from a differnt LFS.

Re: MY FIRST Aquarium 29gal Biocube

I added a Purple Dwarf fish (feel like a dummy for not knowing the full name I believe it was some sort of angel.. it was purple with some yellow on him) yesterday and when i was feeding them today he is no where to be found.

Currently in the tank I have
UPDATED!!!!!!!!
a mated pair of gold stripe maroon clowns
one GBTA
one Fire shirmp
4 Turbo snails
20 hermit crabs
and
MIA (i think coral beauty) dwarf angel *found a little Fish Skeleton behin my GBTA

Do they possibly hide? and uhh theres no way the GBTA ate him right? I mean the GBTA mouth is the same size as him

Re: MY FIRST Aquarium 29gal Biocube

If anyone has ANY mod suggestions PLEASE ... I mean PLEASE tell me... I REALLY love this tank and anything I can do to make it better I’m all over it... I plan on adding corals only from now on no more fishes in this tank ... This tank is in my office at work and I’m already planning a 150-250 gal for my house. Once I become more experienced.

Is there any way your purple fish (possibly a Cherub angel?) could have jumped out? Did you look in the overflow? If it's not in there and it has no way of getting out, then I think it is a good guess that the anemone ate it! That's a pretty big anemone! Nice maroons! Does your fish look like this! Re: MY FIRST Aquarium 29gal Biocube

Let me also clarify why the aquarium is at my office and not my house.
since this is my first tank and I was told you need to keep an eye on a new tank and what not I decided since i work so much why not put it in there! so I did! not only that im glad I did cause now i can look at my tank all day long

Re: MY FIRST Aquarium 29gal Biocube

Ok so! ... I think its official now that the Blue yellow purple dwarf angel Is history I was checking on my GBTA looking behind the LR from the side of the tank to see if he was spreading out his footing well i noticed on the floor behind him a verry light bluish silky object on the fllor when i scooped it up it i was like ... oh ... yep that is a tiny fish skeliton .... well he didnt last long ... now who ever ate him PICKED him CLEAN and i mean only thing thats left is BONES! and they are in like little fish shape not all messed up. So hmmm wonder what happened ... one things for sure that im glad whatever killed him ate him sure is better than him diein in the back and just rottin away raising my A levels

Re: MY FIRST Aquarium 29gal Biocube

LOL! The angel probably died from stress and the hermits picked it clean. It sounds like they didn't use the bones as toothpicks though! If the anemone ate it, those bones would not have come out so pristinely!
