| Fire Coral | 24 Gallon Aquapod hi guys just bought me a 24g aquapod last week. right now i have aprrox 20 lbs LR,20 lbs of LS, 3 damsel, 3 snails, 2 crabs and 2 shrimp . what set up would you go if you want less maintenance meaning leaving the tank factory stock, less water change, less wate testing(maybe once a week)[IMG] [/IMG], and so on? |

| Sunshine Reefer ![]() | Re: 24 Gallon Aquapod Nice looking tank. Very clean looking. Personally I would swap out the stock pump for a stronger flow with less heat. I would also get a good skimmer going. Particularly if you want a low maintenance tank.

| Tubeworm | Re: 24 Gallon Aquapod definitely swap out the stock pump with a maxi jet 900 pump, their rated flow is better than stock and their cooler running so your tank will stay cooler, a skimmer and regular water changes, also yank the bio balls (the useless plastic balls) they suck for filtration and lead to high nitrates, ive had a 24g aquapod for about 8 months and have learned alot of this stuff the hard way but then agian sometimes thats the only way to really learn something. good luck. jerrad
