Everyone has very nice nanos! Makes me want to start one again!

My lfs sells 4.5 gal cube tanks for $15...hmm, I smell a nano cookin

I have the perfect place for it too, cause its only 10"x10"x11".

I know this is a question with many answers, but could anyone give me some suggestions on a good flow/filtration set up for something like this?

I was thinking a DIY aquaclear 200 fugefilter, 5#'s of lr, and a couple 10 or 20 w 50/50 PC screw-in bulbs from coralife. Just want a small mushroom/zoo tank, and a clown goby.

10 or 20 watts over a ten inch tall tank?

i'd recommend way more lighting. 70watt MH would light it nicely.

NO halides, they use too much power, its not a matter of money for me, but I'm 17 and live with my parents, so it is their money I'm using, and they would eventually find out that it was me, and get mad I would end up using 2 20w 50/50 bulbs for a total of 40w.

should work well for softies! mushrooms, zoos, znd a clown goby would be perfect. i didn't see that part before my first reply.

the AC200 is also a good idea...lots of snails and frequent water changes (1 gallon, big deal) since you aren't running a skimmer.

That was already planned for, ya think my plan'll work? If it will, I might order the tank friday, cause he doesn't normally carry them. Also, I'm gonna put about a .5"-1" SB does that sound like enough? Thanks

PS, sorry for hijacking the thread
