Re: [NanoCube 12 DX] what now?

So snap us a shot already. Im picture deprived.

Im going to have to set up a little tank for the office. What size would you get for a Watchman/Pistol combo as the tank command and the rest softies? I'll prob start a thread to see what kind of advice I can get.

Re: [NanoCube 12 DX] what now?

Maybe after my next scraping I will. I need to update anyway... I'm gonna be cutting some Xenia from this one over the weekend so maybe I'll take some pics then.

I personally like the 12g size and bigger if possible. We have a 6g at home and although it's really "Cool" it's just not big enough to really DO much with it.

Nitrate (NO3) reduction is directly proportional to percentage of Water Change.
Allen's home-made formula...currentNO3-((%WC*.01)currentNO3)=finalNO3 (thanks Luukosian)
This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%.

Ask me about how to increase your REEF budget without going without FOOD!!

Re: [NanoCube 12 DX] what now?

I am having an issue maybe you all can help shed some light on. I have had my 12g DX for about a year now. 2 days ago the cooling fan on the right side of the lid started making noise when first powering on the lights if I raise the lid a couple of times the noise silences. Should I contact JBJ regarding this issue? If so does anyone know who I should contact at JBJ?

Re: [NanoCube 12 DX] what now?

It's well outside of the warranty period so you have options..

A) Buy a new pair from JBJ
B) Take the exsting ones out and check for wear/dirt and clean accordingly
C) Contact NanoTuners and get some SILENT-X fans from them

Re: [NanoCube 12 DX] what now?

Today I just noticed something "New" in my work tank.

Right in the middle of some "Yellow Button Polyps" are some bright white "Tentacles". They have a structure very similar to Xenia (at least tentacle wise). They look like they are growing from a tanslucent white sponge mass. The thing is that ALL of the Xenia in my tank is "Pulsing" and "Pink/Brown" and this micro Xenia is white and stationary!

Any ideas? I've got some Xenia this small and it's the "Normal" color and it pulses but this "stuff" doesn't

"Mystery Mass" from front

"Mystery Mass" from top

I'm setting up a 12g nano, as we speak. Anyone try this ReefreshH20. I was thinking about running it in the first chamber.
