| Tunicate | Heater in back of Nano? Hey guys so I've heard some say that you can place your heater (if it fits) in the back chamber of your Nano the one were the pump is. Is this ok to do will it affect the tempature in my tank at all? Will it get hot enough to melt the plastic tubing? Are there any pros or cons to this besides not being able to see the thing? Am I just an idiot and does everyone do this right of the bat? Thanks for all your help guys and gals also RS is by far the best Salt H20 Aquarium site around! |

| Reef Addict (hopeless) ![]() | Re: Heater in back of Nano? I haven't done this yet but I am planning to get a Nano-Cube in the very near future. From what I have read I plan to install a heater in the back as you've stated. This seems to be a very standard operating procedure and should be safe on all counts. Let me know what you come up with either way though. Allen ![]() |

| Elegance coral | Re: Heater in back of Nano? I've got mine in the back middle chamber of my nanocube 6. I got rid of the biological filtration that was initially in that chamber, and now there's just carbon and a 50w heater in there. So far so good...

Allen's home-made formula...(-NO3=WC%) This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%.
