Lighting Upgrade

Lots of interest in nanos these days it seems Here are a few pics of my upgraded lighting on my BioCube... I used the Nanotuners 4.36 DIY kit Real easy install and nice guys to work with. Only thing I didnt like about the kit was the placement of the moonlights. They are pushed way to the rear of the tank. I made my own DIY kit to add more moonlights. The silicone is still drying as I type. I used 2 pairs of Nocturnal Blue lights by Current siliconed them into the front corners of the hood and made a little acrylic splash guard. Hopefully this will add a nice touch...

Nice job.
Can we see a pic of the tank with the new lights? EVen better if you have one with the original lights and we can see the difference.

What was the previous wattage? What is the new wattage?

The easy part was taking the pictures... My new lights are on a sperate switch The bulbs are in a slightly different position but you can see the difference EXCEPT I can post em... my gallery is full and it wont let me delete my old pics

... the old lighting was 72 watts... 1 10,000k 36 watt pc and one Atinic 36 watt Now I have 144 watts 2 10,000k 2 atinic's As soon as I clean up my old pics I will get em up

You can post directly to the thread but the size is even more limited. I think 50kb to attach to the thread. You could also try photobucket etc. That is on my weekend list of things to do.

WOOT! Ok thanks to Woodstock!
The old lighting is easier to photograph Big difference in person...

Old Lighting 72 Watt 10000k and atinic (3 moonlights not on)

New lighting 144 Watt 10000k x 2 Atinic x 2 (7 moonlights not on)

Here is a before shot Tanks come along way thanks to all your help!

The newer lighting adds a lot more blue but it may brighten up a bit once the bulbs 'burn in' for a week or two.

I love your aquascaping and the color of the corals are lovely! Well done!
