What did I do that for?

I think Im gonna change my name from Brothawolf to JACKASS.... got the Aquapod all set up... driving by the LFS... swing in for a look see and there at the front of the store are the NEW Oceanic BioCubes ... not sure how new they really are but they are very new to me... Im checkin em out and hey they have a 29 gallon one, it has slightly better lighting and way more room in the back to squeeze my forearms into the chambers (my one complaint with the aquapod was the tight quarters in the back Had to get g/f to dig out the bio balls and ceramics!!!!) My girl looks at me all innocent and says "If we had that one I bet we could fit one more fishy" .... GRRRRRRR drive home break down the pod back to LFS $90 difference for tank $30 for more lr $30 for more ls... plus tax :smck: Looks real nice. Slighlty larger size looks better in my livingroom. Hood comes totaly off which is nice. More wattage on the lights One extra LED for moonlight. Has a real trickle filter on it. Will probably mod it at some point maybe make a refugium will take some tweakin' Has a filter cartridge which I immediately chucked because it hampered the flow to the trickle so much that the powerhead was running dry. Powerhead only pumping 240 gph so that will need changing.... No place so far for my heater cept in the main tank There is a cutout in the hood that I think will allow me to run an external skimmer... (any suggestions on a good self contained skimmer?) I will figure it out I guess... So what Im saying is I spent another $160 gave myself a huge headache all for "One more fishy"

Re: What did I do that for?

Sounds like you have a good G/F there! At least she is encouraging you to get the tank and is interested in it!

Re: What did I do that for?

BrothaWolf, you did good! Keep the g/f around! The tank is looking good - have you decided yet what is going into? Which "one more fishy" has the g/f picked out? LOL - Best of luck!
