| Midas Blenny | Sand sifting Starfish lost its legs I bought a sand sifting starfish about 3 months ago and all was good. Just some insight - no new additions or changes to the tank. Bi weekly water changes(30 gallons). All perimeters are good and all other tank mates are doing great. He appears last night and all he has is about 1/2 inch legs(about inch & 1/2 legs when I got him) and it's white at the tips? After reading others posts I believe he is a goner. I should take him out now so he does not rot and contaminate the tank, correct?

| NaClH2O Addicted ![]() | Re: Sand sifting Starfish lost its legs The sand sifting stars quite often starve to death - not enough to eat in the sandbed. When they do they lose legs and start to dissolve. Best to take it out. ![]()
