| Bryozoan | Bristle or brittle starfish? I have a new hitchhicker. I first thought it was a bristle worm hiding between the polyps of my golden eye zoathid. After using tweezers to extract it I saw it was actually a starfish and I was not able to catch it. Trying to find out if it was a bristle starfish, which I heard are not reef safe. To me the bristle and brittle look alike. I have a couple serpant stars which I am quessing are the smooth legged version of the brittle star. To me this looked like a spiny legged serpant but how do you tell for sure? |

It's ALL gotta go!! Nitrate (NO3) reduction is directly proportional to percentage of Water Change. Allen's home-made formula...currentNO3-((%WC*.01)currentNO3)=finalNO3 (thanks Luukosian) This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%.
