| Fire Coral | Shrimp ID Hi all! I'm new and thought I purchased a Peppermint, however the markings are different. I wish I could post a pic, however, son brought my camera on a cruise and well lets just say, too many pics of girlfriend and camera went overboard! LOL. Anyway, I need your help in possibly identifiying my new friend. He must be just common shrimp. Looks pretty much like the ones at the seafood counter. He has the coral/pink color with horizontal stripes along his tail. Gets along fine with my skunk cleaner and has a hint of iridescent green by his head. I've searched on several search engines and am coming back to the experts! Any ideas? I'll get a pic as soon as I get a new camera.......I think I'm financially sucked into the Reef World.... ![]() |

| Sunshine Reefer ![]() | Re: Shrimp ID Good. Now I feel better. I did the google search and found 3 or 4 things that were called peppermint shrimp. I guess it doesn't really matter. I just wish mine would eat the aiptasia but they are too well fed.
