cucumber?

i just brought home my first and am noticing that it will take "large breaths" then push air or water out the back end like a fart or something is this normal

What kind of cuc did you get? I have a black one and have never seen him do anything like that

Cucumbers are strange creatures... it is probably 'normal' behavior for them.

sounds pretty normal for me...but not sure. what kind do you have?

I have only seen sand go in one end and sand pellets come out the other end.
I dont think I would be worried. That may be a technique that is helping him acclimate to your tank.
