| Elegance coral | Re: Death camp for shrimp?? I'd say Nitrates killed the shrimp. 8 gallon is hard to keep the perfect levels in my opinion. Need CUC to help get rid of extra food, and dead shrimp, etc... I lost a fish, but am certain the CUC ate him up, so I never had an amonia spike. |

| Reef Addict (hopeless) ![]() | Re: Death camp for shrimp?? You need to do a substantial WC to get them down while also working on the "problem" that's causing them. An 8g cube (at least in my opinnion) should only have one small bodied fish (goby-ish) at the most. You're sort of over taxing your biological filtration system. By "normal" feeding your adding more "Fuel" than the system can take away. Is there ANY way you can re-locate the wrasse and the clown?

Allen's home-made formula...(-NO3=WC%) This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%. Ask me about how to increase your REEF budget without going without FOOD!! ![]() Allen's testimonial . . ."Let Me help you help YOURSELF" (Click Here) Big Al's 10g Julie's (BigAl's Gal) 6g NanoCube Now in STORAGE and Dry-Docked BigAl's Slow 90g Tank Chronicle Allens OFFICE 12g Nano-Reef | |

| Midas Blenny | Re: Death camp for shrimp?? I can probably take them back to my LFS, I have been religous about H20 changes, more than 30-40% with RO weekly, but have NEVER been able too rid the nitrates. ![]()
