Exclamation Get it outa here!

So I've had emerald crab for awhile now. Made short work of the bubble algae and is neat invert.. I brought home a sun coral yesterday and placed it in the shade. Last night I saw the damn crab eating the new coral! I shooed it into its cave, just a inch from the coral and plugged the cave mouth. I can't pluck him out of the cave as it make a 90* turn an inch in to it. He will be banished to the sump. But what do I do to get this crab out of here with out hurting any coral?

Re: Get it outa here!

Are you sure it was eating the coral or just cleaning away what you don't want there. Crabs make good groomers.

Re: Get it outa here!

I was looking at it and saw something bright orange in its claw. Then it ate that. And proceeded to brake off another price of coral flesh.

Re: Get it outa here!

Maybe put some kind of trap that goes around the coral. Then next time he attacks spring the trap.

Re: Get it outa here!

Hu what? Trap him in with the coral?
But that leads me to an idea, close off the coral ( put half a water bottle or so around it ), and then do a trap right out side the cave.
What do yall think?

Re: Get it outa here!

Put your sun coral in the glass, as bait, since the crab likes it so much!
