| Has been struck by the ban stick | Shrimpy ID!! Its rare that I need one, but i need an ID on this guy....bad picture, but he was living in a 30 nano with full line of corals, and he was donated to my LFS, I got him for $5 bucks!!!! he is sooo cool, just have NO IDEA what he is...out of 7 books that I have, cannot find what he is!!! It is quite large. about 3+ inches. resembles a cleaner/peppermint shrimp as far as body characteristics.  |

| Totally stoked dude   | Re: Shrimpy ID!! Hey tipp, what info are you looking for on them. The first ID is correct, as far as I can tell: Parhippolyte mistica. They have several common names, sugarcane shrimp is the common name for P. uveae. Some folks give them the name cave shrimp, which is a really generic common name. cavinca is correct, they are a Hawaiin shrimp, usually found in caves or under ledges.  You won't find too much info on them other than dive photo's online.
