| Sunshine Reefer ![]() | Re: No More Crabs! Snails are my favorite cleanup crew. That and fish that like to pick on the rocks and sand. I do have a couple of scarlet hermits (2 in a 125g tank). They are the ones with the yellow eye stalks and are known to be less of a problem than others. Meanwhile siphoning the substrate when doing a water change and blowing off the rocks with a turkey baster seems to work for me anyway.

| Neon dottyback | Re: No More Crabs! I have read (dont know personally) that the blue legged hermits are some of the nicer ones. Someone elese on here loves their emerald crabs too, I think those eat algae. For sand sifting try a Goby or cerith snails. I have ordered a randals goby because that is my fav., I also like the yellow watchman goby too. The first invert I ever put into my tank was a snail, I think it was a cerith. Anyways, it burried itself right into the sand immediatley (this was like I dont know about 2-4 months ago) and I never saw it again until today!! haha. He was just pluggin along and U scooped him up outa the sand on acident, surprised me kinda. We have similar avatar pictures! Yours is the red dartfish and mine is the purple varient. Nice! Good luck with the clean up.
