children children, put that tongue back in your mouth. They really dont know as much as they think they do, he said "well their lifespan is about 8 weeks", he never stated what/or if he was going to treat it, other than putting in a few goatfish. I dont know, dont know about the flat worm, other than THEY ARE NOT GOOD!

I think they are present in a LOT of tanks but most people have something that will eat them. I may be wrong but it wouldn't be the first time

I believe it you let them run wild certain ones can do harm to corals. Some people say the biggest danger is that if they all "expire" at the same time it would NUKE a tank. That's just 2nd and 3rd hand information so don't take it for fact

Ok here are some pics. I hada "weak" moment and dropped by the LFS. He had 3 feather dusters left. One of them was "different" so I got it. When I got home and put it into the tank it opened up fully and it WAS very different. Here is last week's duster and today's

Well it's kind of hard... harder than the one I got Saturday but not "Rock Hard". It's also more of a spiraled type of tube where #1 is fairly straight. It almost looks like it has multiple heads but I don't think that's feasible from a work.

the heads look like a coca, their tubes are usually spiraled and hard too....I would think it is safe to say you have a coca worm

If that IS the case I got so lucky. He sold it for the same price as a Hawaiin Feather Duster where as all the other stores sell coco for usually double a Hawaiian. Only thing is it's more of a brown with yellow accents and all of the Cocos I've seen are more pinkish and redish.

There are deep deep burgandy ones with yellow accents! I definately belive you have a coco. Is the crown made in spirals?? Are there two "heads"?

Yes spiraled and yes two separate heads. Actually looking at it right now looks like there is a smaller 3rd head in there. I'll try to get a closer look shortly.

Ok I looked closer last night and it's only "2" heads. Not sure what I was looking at that resembled another head but it's got two distinct "crowns" though.
