| Star Polyps | on my way home from mass. i stopped in manchester ct to the LFS i used to use because my snail pop. was starting to dwindle. i got a few sand sifters, a couple turbos, and also i got a red finned algea blenny. while i was there i asked for a few empty shells for my hermits (which he gave me for free in cup with a little moisture on the bottom.) got home acclimated the living, but just scattered the shells amongst the tank. anyway a little while after i went to check on my new roomies i noticed one of the empty shells moving. my first reaction was "wow that hermit must've needed it real bad." but then i look closer and noticed it didn't have any legs it had a flipper. it wasn't moving normally, it was flipping itself around very ungracefully. it finally stopped now with it's eyes poking out. not being acclimated and being out of the water for 45 min i dont think his outlook is to good. as far as his appearance he's about 1/2" with a purple and white patterned conch-like shell with out the crown features. with that in mind and what i found on google it looks like a fighting conch, but if the vague description tells you something else i'd love some input. thanks

| Star Polyps | Re: The not so empy shell it's still alive, but i never see it move. just when i look in it's in a different spot. it doesn't burrow, it stays on top. Greenwich Aquaria? no never been. i just checked out their site, and wow fan-cy. but i wouldn't expect anything less from the Greenwich area. it's a bit of a haul for me to go all the way there. is it as good as the pictures?
