| Tunicate | Hermit Crab ID please? Hi, I bought these very plain hermit crabs at the LFS, thinking I would easily find them online when I got home... but 3 weeks later and I'm still looking. I would like to know exactly what they are to see how peaceful they are. One of them is very aggressive and jumps to my turkey baster when I am feeding. Any ideas? Many thanks, Jon |

| Acropora | Re: Hermit Crab ID please? hermitcrablv2.jpg I think it's a striped leg hermit ( Clibanarius Vitatus) I hope I spelled that correctly! They are common here in Florida waters & can get pretty big! IMHO Keep an eye on it. They will eat whatever is at hand. sorry the pic didn't work, hold on http://www.touchthesea.org/hermitcrablv2.jpg |

| Plate Coral | Re: Hermit Crab ID please? That is it, striped leg hermit. Good for FOWLR but not so good for reefs. As noted, will eat just about anything.

| Serpent Star | Re: Hermit Crab ID please? I (had) them, my LFS called them reef hermits. They will eat anything they can get ahold including each other. They more aggressive as they get bigger. Keep an eye out, I had to get rid of them when they got to big. |
