Hello All

Hello everyone, I just found the Meet and Greet forum and thought I'd introduce myself. My name is James and I live in eastern North Carolina, near Greenville. I'm not new to reefing, but for some reason I just found this site I've really enjoyed browsing so far.
I have a 180g main display tank which is in my living room, with the sump in what used to be my garage. I say "used to" because I also have a 125g plumbed into the same sump, and a 2ft x 4ft x 10" frag tank in my garage/fishroom as well. Up until a couple weeks ago I had a 90g system in there also, but I took it down in order to move in my new 260g frag tank I don't have any pics up yet, due to my ignorance with technology, but I'm designating tomorrow as "learn how to post pictures day" LOL.
Looking forward to meeting you all...

James

Re: Hello All

Witfull, I do know Brian. I actually met him while I was still living in Chapel Hill, and have recently gotten back in touch with him over the past few months. He does have some awesome stuff. As a matter of fact, a lot of the stuff I'm filling my new SPS frag system with is coming from him.

Travis, until about two weeks ago, when it cooled off significantly, I was probably evaporating about 4-5 gallons on the main system (about 350g total volume) and probably one gallon apiece on the other two smaller systems.
The new frag tank will probably evaporate ALOT in the warmer months (unless I go with a chiller) because it's 32sqft of open water surface.

Thanks Woodstock; I'm looking forward to hanging out with you guys some; this site has been really refreshing so far.

Re: Hello All

That's vintage Brian....always up to something. You don't find him sitting still too often! I can say that he's one of the most resourceful and helpful people I've met in a long time. That's why I wanted to move back to my hometown so badly after school - great down-to-earth people like Brian. Not to mention he's one heck of a reefer.

Re: Hello All

Here's one of the 260g frag tank-in-progress. I'm hoping to add the overflow chamber and drill for the return plumbing this week sometime.

Re: Hello All

The pictures are terrible quality I'm sure...I took these this morning with just the actinics on, and I used the flash on my camera...they came out clear but the colors aren't exact...I guess they're pretty close though.
