Hello Reefers

Well I guess I should of done this before posting, I hope I did not come across rude. My name is Ken, I have a 90 gallon mixed reef, MH lighting (250wt XM 10ks) with VHO atinics, a ER 6-2+ skimmer and a recently fired up KR2 calcium reactor. I have a small refugium with some small pieces of live rock and cheato in it. I have a Frogspawn, Torch, Finger Leather, Xenia (wich i am constantly giving away), 4 clams, a few Zoos, assoted mushrooms and a RBTA that has split twice since I obtained it about 16 months ago. I have recently over the last few months obtained a number of SPS frags. As far as fish go I have 2 True Percs, a Target Mandarin, 3 Chromis and a Royal Gramma as of now. Feel free to check out my web page, it is dated by about 3 months, and I need toget it updated, and I am sure I have left out somethingfrom the above list.

I really look forward to learning, laughing and having just good ole conversation with all of you.

Ken

and Welcome Ken!
Sounds like a nice set up! What did you do with the split RBTA? Keep them all?

I've checked out your awesome website... very good job. My husband wants me to get a clam or two... i'm very hesitant though since i have a copperband that devours little neck clams on the half shell :/

Oh no, couldn't keep them all, I had a GBTA the first time it split, and my roses get to about a foot across, before they split. So at one point, 1/3 of my tank was anenome.

Anenomes

I traded off the GBTA to a fellow reefer, and later after the first split, after they had grown to about 10-11 inches across, I traded one to LFS for store credit. As of right now I have the 2 from the second split and I would say they are 8 inches across. Another reef-ete has her name on one of them when they grow a bit more.

A copperband that has a taste for clams on the half shell........Souds like a reciepe for disaster........

The site needs a major revamp and update. I would like a slightly different, warm and fuzzy feel to it, it's in the works.

Re: Hello Reefers

I rarely target feed them. They will get small amounts of food when I feed the clowns, since they don't venture to far from the anenome, but this is a really small amount. I would say once every other month I give them a silver side or two. They are light worshipers though, as soon as the halide over them comes on they strech out from behind the rocks and soak it up, and as soon as it goes out they retract back into the rockwork. I have observed that each time they split was a day or 2 after a water change, which I have seen similiar articles on other sites.

Whattup Kenna! Even thou we always talk let me give you some props for finding this website! Its a doozy of a good time here at RS. Everyone is really smart and witty tries real hard too -JK- And when Travis keep the site up its a good ole' time.

Everyone i know Ken from another site and hes a helluva guy! He is constantly giving people Xenia, he wont give me any, but everyone else gets some, but BEWARE. Rumor has it that his free xenia are known to thrive and multiply like crazy, i wouldnt know because he never gave me any, but the gazillion people he has love it! Ken, pat yourself on the back, and see if you can touch your elbows behind your back, wait, scratch that second comment, great guy meets great site equals great things to come. Re: Hello Reefers

Jiddy I gave it back.... Honest. Please people, he is mis-representing my offer for free Xenia. I said free Xenia, and then all i heard was "Well you said it was free, send me some". I have offered to set Jiddy up numerous times if he would just stop by, frags of this and frags of that. I'm not sure why he won't come see me.

Seriously Jiddy, thanks. You have been a good friend, and I really hope we get to get together sometime.
