| Serpent Star  | First Post I have been doing salt water reef tanks since high school. I am 37 now so I have had reef tanks for 20 years or so. I decided to join when my friend showed my around the web site. I have always had LPS/soft coral tanks until about 6 months ago when I decided to covert to SPS and so far things are going really well (knock on wood). Here a run down of my tank equipment. I have a 50 gallon tank (I live with my wife in a 1 bedroom apt. I wish it was bigger but there just isnt the room) with a 20 gallon sump and a 5 gallonish CPR hang on the back refugium. I have Caulerpa and mud in it. I run a 1100 SEIO and 620? SEIO for circulation and my dual return pumps are a 950gph and 1800gph (1000 by the time they reach the tank). I use an Neptune Jr. controller with a ARTICA one-fifth hp chiller. Lighting is provided with Icecap Ballast by 2- 175w XM MH 10k bulbs with 2 - Atinic 65w PCs. My calcium/dkh is provided by a Deltec calcium reactor and Deltec Kalkreactor. I posted a small picture of my tank somewhere on the site? Last edited by Jerome : 09-24-2005 at 08:06 PM. |
