| Tunicate | Hi everyone, new here just started in marines, have at the moment 35l tank with live rock arogonite sub. It's been up and running for three months and requires attention every day. Have a continual problem with keeping Ph it keeps falling to 7.6 adding 8.3 buffer- no long lasting effect. I have a phosphate level of 0.5 and starting to get algae so limiting lighting and trying to absorb that with phosorb. got R/O unit now so water quality should be getting better over time. I don't like the amount of time and worry that this small system needs so I have ordered a custom tank that occupies the same floor area but is twice as tall to give me more water volume, and building own stand that will incorporate the present tank as a sump I will have to do some specific calculationswhen it's up and running, to make sure I don't get a flood with the first power cut. but I'm reckoning this system will give me @85-90l thats @20 imp gallons not sure of U.S. equivalent. Nano systems seem to be frowned upon over here most LFS want you to have 20gals as the very minimum. So thats it, I hope to here from many of you |
