Hi

Hi all,

Travis just sent me an email and made me post here

So I just joined awhile ago. I was google searching some info on rowaphos and ended up here.

I've been reefing for about 4 yrs now and have a 90 gallon tank with mostly sps. They're mostly just frags at this point. I have restarted the tank twice in the past 2 years, once changing out the sandbed from coarse grain to sugar sand (the dinos returned in about 2 weeks) and this last time (May 2005) I removed the sandbed altogether and powerwashed all the rock. It was go big or go home this time as if it didn't work I was quitting. I restarted the tank in May due to dinoflagellates that I fought for almost a year (yes I tried everything to kill them). It killed pretty much every coral I had except for a couple softies which have been with me for 3-4 years. All the fish survived (thankfully).

So, heres the tank rundown:

90gal
15 gal sump
5 gal refugium
2x250w Iwasaki 6500K
2x40w NO actinics
2x Tunze 6060
Euroreef ES6-2
Aquarium Essentials Calcium Reactor w/mag 7
mag 9.5 return
Pacific Coast CL-650 Chiller w/mag 9

Fish:
twinspot wrasse
regal tang
scopas tang
2 Yellownose gobies
2 yellowprow gobies
2 neon gobies
2 masked gobies
1 bangaii cardinal
1 eyelash blenny
1 midas blenny

Corals:
blastomussa, frogspawn, acanthastrea, cynarina, pocillipora, acropora, m. capricornis, m.digitata, acropora, porites

Well I guess thats enough blabbing
See you all on the board!

Christy

i say this as my best advice to a beginner. do not,,,and i repeat,,,,,DO NOT look at my tank as an example....i have a well practised eye, decades of experience, and a trunkload of failures to allow me to force the issue and get away with things most cannot~
