Hello from Louisiana

Hi this is bourganaes, I have a 55 gallon tank thats been up for 2 years now and with the exception of some pesky Damsels chewing up my coral everything looks great.I am also setting up a 20 gallon to grow out some frags.
I am the kind of guy who likes to find inexpesive ways to get great results. For example I dug my live sand out of the Gulf of Mexico- not a great idea I was told but- It is ALIVE, and looks as good as any other I've seen. I look forward to getting to know everyone and learning what I can! Thanks for your time- bourganaes

Thanks for that nice welcome

Hi again guys- yes I moved out my pests- I had to take out every coral and 90% of my rocks to get them.My kids didn't call the blue 1 lightning for nothing- as far as pictures I will post some in about a week after my tanks settles back down.
My tank is 55 gallons with:
360 watts power compact 50/50
250 watts metal halide 20 k
1 Ehiem pro canister filter
1 Bak-pak protein skimmer
aprox 4 inches live sand
about 40 lbs assorted live rock
my live stock includes:
8 assorted frags Acantahstrea (waiting here while I cycle a small frag tank)
1 orange montipora
1 green montipora
many assorted mushrooms and ricodia
1 leather coral
1 sinularia
1 colony RPPE
1 brain coral
1 pink and green favia
1 pink and green wall hammer
1 pink and green branching hammer
assorted polyps
less fish all the time (if I nail them picking on my Corals)
AND A LOT OF LOVE

assorted clean up critters
