Talking Iriejedi from Nor Cal

Found my way here through an OS X.4 Widget

Been looking for a decent site for my RT questions....

Here is a sampleing of my tank.

http://homepage.mac.com/iriejedi/PhotoAlbum11.html

180 gallons with 35 gallon sump
3X150 HQI bulbs
5 X 65 watt PC True Actinic

5 power heads

Thanks for looking - I need to add some more full tank shots... once summer rolls around....

Welcome to Reef Sanctuary Iriejedi !!

I really like your tank! I prefer LPS, softies, etc over SPS. YOu have some awesome corals! Great job! You have a nice website... I love this quote of yours

Welcome Iriejedi. Nice tank. I have yet to visit Atlantic Aquarium. I've been a fan of Tropical Paradise in San Leandro, but they have really slipped in recent months, but they give me pretty good trade on frags and their prices are better than the decent store in SF. I'm looking forward to getting down to AA - maybe this weekend. How knowlegable is thier advice? Anyone in particular you speak to there when you have a question?

Please consider doing a review of the store in our LFS Database. The link is on the left of the home page.

See you around...

i say this as my best advice to a beginner. do not,,,and i repeat,,,,,DO NOT look at my tank as an example....i have a well practised eye, decades of experience, and a trunkload of failures to allow me to force the issue and get away with things most cannot~

Thanks for the warm welcome. To try and answer a few of the inquiries... Atlantis crew at least the top two for sure, Joleen and Ming, REALLY know their stuff... Ming hand picks a lot of material and I've never been dissappointed with anything I've bought there. Worth a looksee... they aim to NOT reem you on consumables like salt and chemicals. Their $30 bucket of salt is $50 or $60 elsewhere. Good marketing skills. As my text book calls 'lifetime customer equity'. If you can't afford to support a tank with even the basics like salt, you can't be a long term customer....

HQI bulbs are awesome..... best bulb prices on the net.... and fixtures for that matter.....

and

I think they are or used to be related and the first one used to be a wholesalor - but I just added stuf to my cart... so maybe....

Welcome. Glad to see more bay area folks on here. Atlantis is nice, but not my favorite. I was an avid customer of Aquatic Gallery in Milpitas. Dr. Le is one of the most concientious LFS owners I've ever known. Very sad to see Tropical Paradise close it's doors. I wish Eddie all the luck with his wholesale and import business. Gawd knows we need some good reputable ones in the hobby.
