| Tunicate | Intro - Take 2: Howdy from Japan OK, typed out a long intro, and when I tried to post, it waid I wasn't logged on... so I'm back for another try! I can tell hanging out with y'all is going to be as expensive as hanging out with my motorcycle forum friends! I had a saltwater tnak 16 or so years ago, but sold it when I moved and never got one again. So when I stumbled upon a local ad for a RSM 130, I couldn't pass up the chance to get involved again. So here I am!! I believe the guy that sold me the tank is a member here and refered me here. After a few minutes of reading, I can tell y'all are a friendly and helpful bunch, so I registered!! The tank is currently cycling with ~30# of live rock. I skipped adding sand, because of my current situation. I will be leaving Japan in Dec/Jan, for my new duty station in CO, so I am not going to get too elaborate right now, just to tear it all down in 5 months. So I am just gonna add a few hermits, snails, and then a few small fish and enjoy them untl I have to leave. By then I am sure y'all will have given me all kinds of ideas for what to do with it when I have a few years to establish a tank! So should I just go ahead and post my CC# here and y'all can start spending my money? I did see several threads mentioning Stevie's media basket and Tunze skimmers... seems like a good upgrade! Anyone have a line on where I can get a new powerhead? One of mine is DOA and I need to get it replaced before I start adding critters to the tank. The few places I found that have them don't ship to APOs. If I don't find somewhere that does in the next day or two, I'll just have them shipped to family in the states and have them forward to me... not the quickest way, not to mention paying double shipping, but sometimes that is the only option from over here. So that's my intro! Nice to meet y'all; see you around the board!! Crusty |
