| Tunicate | Hello fellow Reefers... Always had marine set up in Ft.Lauderdale and kept it stocked with things I personally collected while diving. Pretty cool in that it was only populated with "local" creatures. Based on this, it was a fairly cheap hobby. Im now in Atlanta and did my freshwater to salt conversion (Oscar's cost too much to feed!) 2years ago. I should have picked a cheaper hobby like owning an Indy car or something. Lordamercy, a boy can spend some serious bucks on marine aquaria!! But what a rewarding hobby it is. Glad to be online with you guys, and will hopefully learn and contribute with the rest of you. |

__________________ Stace Worried about the costs to run a Saltwater tank? Here are some tips on cutting back to keep your bills in the same range as before. Put a timer in the bathroom, the family is now only aloud to take 5 minute showers, baths are out of the question. Tv time is cut to 1 hour a night, we have to make up for all of the lights/pumps/heaters/chillers/etc. running No more lights, duct tape all light switches in the off position. If someone needs light, they can sit by the tank. Sorry bunny, I sacrificed you to help others save money! |
