Hello. . . . .

Hey guys, just wanted to say hello from the new guy. I have some experience in saltwater but I know nothing about " reef keeping ".
With that being said, you probably wont hear too much from me for a while. I want to learn about general reefkeeping then I'd like to try my hand at ( someday ) " fragging " and coral propagation. If anyone would like to point me into a direction as far as resources / where to get started - it would be much appreciated!!!

Re: Hello. . . . .

Hello and welcome! Good news hearing that you want to learn slow That's the very BEST way to learn and save money and heart ache!

For pointers take some time to go to
Newbies, a little something on cycling/breaking in a new reef tank.

and learn it. It's going to be with you ever step of the way from here on out. Once you understand that learn about lighting. Then about PRISTINE water quality!

Again welcome to the REEF

with a SW set up there is one basic fundamental rule that we ALL should follow
When in doubt... wait it out. This means take it slow and let the tank "develop" and don't rush it. Time is your friend

All of the above books are excellent, have them all. You might want to also consider, The Conscientious Marine Aquairst, by Fenner

Go slow and read a lot
