| Tunicate | Hello--New to the Forum Hi, I am Dominic and live in Jersey. I have two 35 gallon bow fronts in the back corners of my family room--one reef and one fish only. I have had my tanks for about 2 years and really got serious with the reef tank over the last 6 months. I don't have pictures yet, but will try to get some soon: Tank 1 (fish only): Cascade 1000 (spray bar), Sunpod 150W MH (white), aqua remora skimmer with maxi 1200. 2 anenomies, live rock formations. Fish: Maroon Clown (super aggressive), porc puffer, blue spot puffer, marine betta, and shrimp goby. Tank 2: reef: Cascade 700 (spray bar), sunpod 150w MH (blue tint), aqua remora skimmer w/ maxi 1200. Kalkwasser 1000 stirrer w/Liter meter III for dosing. Vortex for flow. Fish: Yellow Tang, Blue Tang, six line wrasse, clown (nemo), lawnmower blenny. Purple Lobster (Pain in the rear, but cool!!!), purple shrooms, hairy shrooms, red shrooms, green striped shrooms, cabbage leather, toadstool leather, flower leather, soft brain, snake polyps, sun polyps, clam, featherduster, austrailan elegance, neon bubble coral, hammer coral, branch bubble coral, rose bubble anenomies (2), neon bubble anenomie, neon green blanket anenomie (nemo's home), zenia--think that's it. I've learned alot reading these forums and hope to learn more. Thanks for taking the time to read my post. Dominic |

| Reef Addict (hopeless) ![]() | Re: Hello--New to the Forum Hello and Welcome to RS! Sounds like you have 2 really cool set-ups. I'd also love to see some pics.. I'm interested in your "spray bars" and how you like them. Do you have them terminating UNDER the water line? How's the Salt Creep on that system?

| Tunicate | Re: Hello--New to the Forum I really like the spray bars. I place them right above the waterline. At night when the lights go out, my blue spot puffer will invert himself at the bottom of the spray bar and just chill there. My porcupine puffer likes to play in the flow that comes out of the bar. Not sure what you mean by salt creep, but if you mean salt accum on the glass--I get enough in about 2 weeks to pull it off and clean it. I just do that when I do my water changes...the system overall is very easy to maintain, so I do like them. |
