Re: New Reefer

I have a question about starting a new reef system - i have a 58 Gallon reef ready Oceanic tank and a 30 gallon refugium sump - i plan i putting about 100lbs of live rock and 40 lbs of live sand in the tank and a gallon of Fiji mud in the refugium - is it possible to overkill the bacterial colony - should i cut back a little ?

Re: New Reefer

Welcome to RS. Don't worry about overkill. Your tank will only grow as much bacteria as it needs to function.
