| Tunicate | hello He all, Pretty new to hobby, but received a 85 gal established tank from a friend as a gift. Yahoo. So far 2 clowns, 1 dotyback, 1 striped damsel, 1 blue damsel, 1 cleaner shrimp, 1 peppermint shrimp, 1 sally lightfoot, 1 emerald, 1 serpant star.(what a mistake huge and I think I'm going to try and get rid of) 1 long tenticle anenome, and a condi, a little gold cup coral. Water parameters have been staying steady, Sump and protein skimmer, corallife lites 10K and actinic. oh yea and pleanty of snails turbos nasirus, blue leg, red leg hermits and 1 feather. Lost a bta the clowns picked at her and then the serpent got her. Love my tank totally hooked, obssesed! Look forward to corresponding with all of you. Dawn Idaho |

| Manta Ray | Re: hello Whew! Lot's happening there. Welcome to RS!! Depending on the type of serpent star, you may indeed want to get rid of it. Does it have bristly legs or smooth ones. Smooth is OK.

| Regular Guy Moderator ![]() | Re: hello Welcome, welcome, welcome. $30 is a cheap mistake in this hobbie. I had a black bristtly serpant star that ate sleeping fish, now that can get expensive. I chased the serpent into a rock and then took the rock out of the tank. I then poured soda water on the rock and it wriggled out. Bagged it up in some tank water and returned it to the LFS. HTH
