| Tunicate | Hey Ya'll !!!!!! New to R.S., Have had my 55 gal.FOWLR (+ a couple of mushrooms) for 5 + years......got into it....started having a rough time in my life, moved.... left my tank @ the other house..... (with the a.c still going to keep them cool. after a year, finally got the guts to move the tank to the place we are living. Have to confess that I really neglected my tank..... got disgusted with it, had lighting problems,etc,etc. Call me a murderer- lost most of my fish except my two clowns that just wouldn't die. They seemed happy to see me no matter what I did to them. Finally one day, decided to get aggressive with the algae problem.... started weekly water exchanges, got lights up and going correctly......amazingly, my tank came back to life-corraline began taking off,all kinds of critters started showing their faces. Promised my little guys I'd be faithful to them. Fell in love again. Reading all I can- should have a place for a bigger better ( drilled w/ a sump) tank in the near future. Sorry if I upset or pissed anyone off with my confession of neglect. Looking forward to reading everyone's info to help me in the future, I live in W. Texas- not a big haven for saltwater fish!!! |

They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on. |

Right now i have 260 watt p.c on my 55 gal. tank. 2- 10,000K and 2 65w blue actinics. I've been testing for about 2 months.S.G. 1.021 pH 8.2, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 0 nitrate, Alk 1.7 mEq/L, 0 PO4, Calcium 450-500. I have roughly 10Xturnover /hr in waterflow, Aqua C remora Skimmer, UV sterilizer....... any ideas? |
