My name is Jen, and I'm posting today for the first time...once in the Bluespot Club and once here on Meet & Greet. Not sure what I'm doing with the posting thing, but will do my best. I have a 120...what details should I add here? I've been enjoying reading since December or so, and finally feel brave enough to post!

I know how you feel; when I first started in the hobby, it took me 6 months of reading the local forum before I posted. You find this site very frendly and helpful. The more questions you ask, the more reading you do, the more observing you do the better your tank will do.

I too have the solaris. Don't you just love it

I want to put them on the propagation take as well, but I will have to wait a few months...or more

I do love my Solaris...but still learning the details! Where do you keep yours blue and white percentage-wise? Do you find you need to start your corals at the bottom of the tank? Do you run it on the solar cycle?
I see your sun corals in your avatar...just added yellow sun coral to my tank a week ago. How do you feed yours?

First, I have the H series. I like it on 100% both. Second, the light is not a problem with corals. The only ones I have had trouble with are green yumas. Everything else loves it. No burning in like I used to have with my HQI's. However, the manufacture does recommend it.

The sun corals need frequent feeding. I use DT's phytoplankton every 2 to 3 days to increase the copod populations and cyclop-eeze for direct feeding everyother day. I do best when I turn off the pump to the skimmer for a good 20 minutes. If I don't follow that proceedure, I have seen them receed.
