| Tunicate | I have a new 24g JBJ Nano Cube Hey everybody, I'm very new to the reef hobby and was wandering if I could receive the some help in this new project. I've kept fish before, and currently keep cichlids and a community tank. Recently I purchased a 24g Nano Cube, as you can see by the title but have not set it up yet partially b/c of time, money and inexperience. Hopefully someone can guide me in getting off on the right foot in the reef hobby. |

| Harlequin Tuskfish | Re: I have a new 24g JBJ Nano Cube imo the filtration seems very good to me, i just set mine up yesterday, and within an hour and a half the water was crystal clear. seems no longer how much i rinse the dry sand i add, it still makes the water murkey.

| Harlequin Tuskfish | Re: I have a new 24g JBJ Nano Cube I have one and completely pitched the filtration system. Ive had an open top with a MH clamp on light and a skimmer on the back. IMO this is way better and Im going to do it to a 12 gal too. Also can throw some chaeto in the back compartment

| Achilles Tang | Re: I have a new 24g JBJ Nano Cube Welcome to RS!! Filtration is adequate. If you're doing a reef tank get rid of the bioballs/ceramic rings that may have come with it. You can put LR rubble in that compartment instead. Keep at least 1 comparment open since you may want to run carbon or other chemical filtration in there. A skimmer is a good idea but most nano keepers maintain water quality through frequent water changes.
