Sounds like mama ain't the only one busting at the seams.... and what if Gary has to do surrogate feeding if mama's tired from birth? There's a mental picture that could cause serious institutionalizing.....

Thanks. I'd like to think I've got a following, but I'm just a follower behind a bunch of other folks who've just moved over. But I AM a legend in my own mind and it's a happy place between my ears....

Mooch, I'm surprised that you of all people haven't done research on the proper feeding of newly born pebbles. They require a diet high in calcium. In fact recent studies have found that this is the only good use of Purple Up. You start feeding the day you notice the newly born pebbles. Use 1/4 the normal dosage they recommend. After 1 week you increase the doage to 1/2 normal. The following week it is normal dosage. After 4 weeks at normal dosage you then increase it to 2 the normal. You should see rapid growth using that schedule. Studies have also found that the 2 part Ca treatment does not result in the same growth rate.

Re: We're Here!

Do they need any kind of special lighting requirements? I have been trying to breed a mated pair I have. They must not be in the mood.

Deinitely need mood lighting - I've had great success with a blend of blue & white LED moonlights.

I'll tell you what...you ever want to breed LR for store credit, you might want to pass on KD Lang. I'm pretty sure there was some scientific experiment conducted. I think I saw some of it listed in Breeders Registry. lol
