| Manta Ray | Re: Hi All! very nice to meet you also you will get lots of good suggestions around here first though, are you planning on adding your old setup to this? if so what fish and things? i suggest you keep what fish you want that are reef safe and leave them in the little tank. setup the new system with you sandbed and base rock. then take out some of the rock in the old tank, not all, to seed the base rock in the new tank. take whats not safe in the old system, if anything, and trade it in for a CUC when the new tank is ready. when its time to start stocking fish, you will have a stable QT at the ready to cycle in new fish ![]() for more suggestion, what type of corals do you want to keep? that is what will determine type of waterflow and turnover rates, lighting, dosing supplements ect... how familiar are you with a reefs biofiltratioin and chemistry?
