do you have any sites that specialize or sell non photosynethic corlas

i dont kno any sites for ya but there arent to many i know of in the hobby. right now the only one i can think of is the sun coral.. it has a orange body and little orange tubes that stick out and bright yellow tentacles off each tube. it doesnt need any light. actually prefers low light and you have to feed it for it to survive. i cant think of other corals that surive soley off meat or plant.

I have no experience with non-photo corals but Ive been told they were ultrahard to keep. With the constant feeding that is necessary they can whack out your water parameters. Too many extra nutrients.

Nice article on someone keeping dendro's quite succesfully. Definitely not an easy task though.

A bit of a PITA to keep but worth it.

I have a beautiful sun coral that I feed with frozen Cyclop-Eez every few days. A SeaSquirt is almost mandatory with one of these corals. I highy recommend it. With a SeaQuirt, you can target-feed each and every polyp with just a tiny bit of Cyclop-Eez. I bought one and heated-up the skinny tube with a torch to soften it then bent it slightly, it makes getting to the polyps on the sides a LOT easier. As far as cyclops go, spend the extra money and get the Clycop-Eez. Do NOT skimp and buy "regular" frozen cyclops. That stuff is full of impurities that will cloud your water. Cyclop-Eez is a VERY pure food.

Once in a while you can target-feed each polyp a single defrosted mysis shrimp. You need to be quick about this so your fish don't steal it. I use a LOOONG metal tweezers for this task.

Yes, it is a bit more work, but the sunny will be the brightest thing in your tank!
